Chateau Group and Fortune International have received FAA approval for their upcoming condoand hotel project in Sunny Isles. The twin towers are approved at 649 feet above sea level, or 643feet above ground. The project is set to be built on the La Playa property at 18801 Collins Avenue.It will include 431 condo units, 90 condo/hotel, and 60 hotel units.
Along with Miami Chateau Village projects, this is another project from UNStudio that my initialconcept design went further to 100% SD package. As a full design member in a team of 3,the work scope varied the most in my professional career thus far; from the concept sketches,rendering, drafting and consulting with technicians to resolve parking issues, pool design,terracing, drop-off to core circulation, and lastly (online) meetings with directors and the two clientparties. The podium consists of 4 levels with continuous mezzanines. In this twin residential-hoteltower, the idea of grafting the luxury of urban Miami activities with the relaxing, slow-paced leisurecomponent of the beach is focused.
* This project still runs under confidentiality contract and recently only released 2D drawings ofthe SD package. Currently, it is under DD phase and the official renderings will be available laterin 2016. The drawings released demonstrate my design and planning strategies.
