The magnificent and historic TWA Terminal by Eero Saarinen is to be revitalized by a hotel extensionaround it yet maintaining its strong presence. Fully re-modeling and re-sketching the existing TWATerminal, the 100% SD packages successfully conveyed the idea of low rise hotel around theterminal in arc form as the way to economically maximize the number of rooms with each roomhaving a view, as well as to keep the terminal fully visible and have the historic views from inside.
The office has decided to continue to develop saw tooth pattern facade. I developed details ofits efficient arrangement through different material perforation, sun study and precedents of thispattern. The package included types of panelization and cost estimation.
